On the morning of December 27, 2017, under the arrangement of Mr. Sun Donglin of the Alumni Association of Tsinghua Affiliated High School, the symposium of book donation alumni of Class 641 of Tsinghua Affiliated High School was held in the conference room on the first floor of the training center。In the conference room, the red banner "Warmly welcome the alumni of the first 641 class back to school" is very eye-catching, setting off the happy atmosphere of alumni returning home。Due to various reasons such as taking care of the elderly, taking care of grandchildren, and suffering from influenza, many students were unable to attend and sent verbal wishes。Still, 11 alumni from the class were there。Ms. Liu Yu from Class 643, Ms. Li GUI from Class 644 and Ms. Tang Lubin, wife of the late Mr. Wen Hu, were also invited to attend the symposium。Mr. Wang Ruqi from Class 641 presided over the symposium。

Mr. Wang Yingmin, deputy secretary general of the Alumni Association of Tsinghua High School, first welcomed the alumni home on behalf of the school, and thanked the students of Class 641 for donating their books to their Alma mater。He said that reading this book was very moved, from which he saw the students before the Cultural Revolution by the moral, intellectual and physical development of the education growth process, in the Cultural Revolution in the confusion and now the reflection, after leaving the school and all kinds of efforts and indomitable learning spirit, along the way is not easy。We are grateful for the learning foundation laid by Tsinghua High School and have deep feelings for our Alma mater。Although the articles in the book are long and short, they represent a kind of attitude towards life of the people in the Affiliated High School of Tsinghua University, and are a kind of example for the younger students。Now the school library has opened up a special area, that is, to store the books of alumni, so that the younger students can see the spirit of Tsinghua students。A good school is not the building, but the spirit。

Yang Shengmin alumnus spoke as an initiative and funder of the book。He said that this was the first time he put forward in the school anniversary in 2005, and proposed that each person write an article in the way of personal life history, which together is a book, and leave a memorial to themselves。At that time, everyone had not yet retired and was very busy. I thought it would come out in two or three years, but it dragged on for twelve years。Thanks to the persistence of a group of students in the class, this matter was finally accomplished。Why this book？Because when you are 50 or 60 years old, you will think about how you came here？There are many unforgettable things, no matter how the result is, everyone's experience is more tortuous, and finally think of Tsinghua High School this starting point。At the age of 16 or 17, we went out into the world to become farmers, workers, soldiers...。Today's children are in their early twenties, graduated from college, and entered the society。Tsinghua High School gave us a good foundation, foreign language and mathematics and other courses are very solid, but we did not graduate from junior high school, later only self-study。Although later everyone did not stay at the original level of knowledge, many people have entered the university, and some have become a doctor, but our group of engineers have made few achievements, most of them have engaged in social science and management。This is not because we do not work hard, but because of the objective environment。Why did we go to Tsinghua High School？Because they want to go to Tsinghua, many people want to be scientists and want to win glory for the country。We were admitted to the Middle School in the pre-Cultural Revolution heyday of Tsinghua High School, the best middle school in Beijing。At that time, Tsinghua affiliated high School, are excellent students, a class is particularly neat。Because of the Cultural Revolution, no one in our class has entered Tsinghua to study。Looking back on the original ideal, it's a pity。We need to write about these experiences for posterity。Some years later, 50 years later, 100 years later, posterity will write the history of our generation, we are now writing our own history, for posterity to read, more real and reliable。It is also a monument to ourselves。Thank you to the school for accepting our book。

Everyone spoke enthusiastically

The alumni of the meeting spoke enthusiastically, and everyone said that the book was done well, dragging it for more than ten years, originally thought that it was yellow, and finally it was done, it was not easy, very happy。Because Li Jinghong is busy taking care of the elderly, she is rarely seen at class gatherings。This time she came, and everyone was very excited。She said that she was particularly happy to see this book, representing the aspirations of our classmates。Our class is a good group。Although I did not write an article, I did not do anything, and I am willing to pay some money for the future republication。

Lai Hui alumni said that after they got the book, they gave books to some of their original colleagues, and my friends read them and said yes。I thought that as an acquaintance, I would look at what I wrote, but I did not expect my friends to look at it one by one, very emotional, and cause a lot of memories of their own, because they are peers。

Yang Er and alumni said, originally thought this thing yellow, did not think it was done, really not easy。When I asked for manuscripts, I felt that there were too many things experienced in 50 years, and I did not know where to write it by hand. Finally, I handed in a travel note。Read this book, deeply touched。The Times we live in have experienced so many major events, and the society is developing so fast that the lives of our ordinary people directly reflect the changes in the society。This book is enlightening and thought-provoking。

Liu Yu alumni said that some of our classmates in Class 643 read this book and were very impressed!Be moved!We also encourage people to write about their own experiences。The students of Class 641 did a very meaningful thing, providing a real record of life for future generations, which has far-reaching significance. From a historical point of view, writing such books not only wrote about our generation, but also left precious historical materials for Tsinghua Affiliated High School, because our current class is a part of the long history of Tsinghua Affiliated High School。After more than ten years, your class has printed the memories of the students into books and sent them to the school. The merits are infinite. This is the contemporary generation writing history, rather than the future generations writing our history。

Tang Lubin is the wife of Wen Hu alumni, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2009。Tang teacher is in the sorting of relics found Wen Hu written in the Inner Mongolia Tuquan story manuscript, did not finish。She remembered when Wen Hu wrote it, and also laughed at him, giving him a big blow。What did you think you were writing? What was there to write about？It's so sweet to look at it now, because if you don't write it down, you forget a lot of details。It is a great pity that the article was not finished. If more encouragement had been given, it might have been finished。She was very moved when she got the book。She came especially for this event。She said she had a special status, coming as a family member。Although she did not study at Tsinghua High School, she was very lucky to be a teacher at Tsinghua High School for 34 years, and became colleagues with the teachers who taught Wen Hu。She said the teachers were so elegant。Many details in the book, let her feel the atmosphere of Wen Hu when he went to school。

Finally, the school issued a certificate of honor for the alumni of the early 641 class to donate the book "Memories when the head was full of snow - The past events of the Early 641 Class of the High School attached to Tsinghua University"。After the meeting, the alumni took pictures together。

The book Memories of Class 641, Junior High School Attached to Tsinghua University, is a collection of recollections written by nearly 30 students and several teachers of Class 641, which covers campus life before the Cultural Revolution, the Cultural Revolution, going to the countryside and other aspects of life。Through their personal lives, the authors truly record the era we lived through。The book is full of reflections of students decades later, and their affection and gratitude for their Alma mater and the teachers who taught us that year。In order to return the education and training of the Alma mater, but also for future generations to better understand the era, we decided to donate 200 books to the school。
