On the morning of September 23, the alumni Association of Tsinghua High School held the unveiling ceremony of the sculpture "Red Detachment of Women" in Time Square。President Wang Dianjun, Vice President Xie Juzhao and a total of 50 alumni representatives attended the event。The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Wang Yingmin, deputy Secretary-General of the Alumni Association。

The representative of the literature and art team of Tsinghua Affiliated High School, the actor of Hong Changqing in the ballet of the Red Detachment of Women, the alumnus of Grade 68 and the famous director Chen Guoxing gave a speech，He fondly recalled rehearsing the ballet，He spoke of "1971，We are under the guidance of our beloved teacher Wang Yutian，In the "Red Detachment of Women" military singing opened the ballet "Red Detachment of Women" prelude。Under the guidance and organization of Teacher Wang, we trained from basic skills, standing on toes, to beautiful dance combinations, training hard, teaching and learning from each other;We were 13 or 14 years old at the time, and we had a lot of support from the school and a lot of teachers and students behind the scenes。Scene by scene, less than a year of spare time, finally at the end of 1971 will be a complete ballet successfully displayed on the stage。This memory is unforgettable for a lifetime, which is also very educational for our later growth。We are grateful to our Alma mater for building this period of history into such a group of statues. We will always miss and be grateful to Teacher Wang Yutian. We are proud of our school for having such a campus culture construction concept!"
